Recently got offer from AMEX, and got the $100 statement credit, ASAP! I bought a $250 airline ticket and got the credit on the first statement! It was a $150 Spring Break Flight. Then got a Citi Professional Card offer in the mail, and filled it out. Then found this site, and have applied today. I will be up $450. THIS WORKS!!!!

Thank you.

I got the Sony card and bought aa $7 lunch with it in mid December. I received my $150 credit on the card last week. I was VERY pleased with the turn around time on it.

Glad I got one for my wife as well :-)

In the short term it is, you increase the number of applications; long term, not at all.

If you plan on getting a big loan in the next few months, DO NOT APPLY FOR A CREDIT CARD; if you don't plan on a big loan, I don't see a problem.

The SonyCard application says:

***********************
Terms & Conditions:
1 Offer subject to credit approval. Card credit will be applied to your Sony Card account 8-12 weeks after your first purchase. Offer expires March 31, 2006. First purchase must be made by June 30, 2007
***********************

It's obviously well past March 31, 2006. Does anybody know whether it's still available?

If you had a sole proprietorship your tax id number is your social security number and your business name would be your name (or whatever you wanted as a business name).

Do you need an actual business to apply and receive the AMEX Business Gold Rewards Card? On the application they ask for your Federal Tax ID # and your business name. I'm addicted to these $100 gift card offers and so far this year have $700 in Target and Toys R Us gift cards for some free Christmas shopping. More cards couldn't hurt.

There is a 3% transaction fee on balance transfers with the Sony card, so it's probably not a good idea for those just looking to earn interest on the money.

I'm listing these cards strictly for their $100 promotional offers and the AMEX's annual fee has been waived in the first year.
