hey everybody,
I had been given the same offer for 15$ rebate, however it has been over 2 weeks now and i have not recieved anythng on it…. Now, if i cancel my account, will they still send the rebate?

i went for the 20 rebate check and i was told 20.00 rebate then i got a $15. rebate offer insted in the mail.sent that in with the letter for $20. rebate offer.and its been over 2mounths still no money or anws to why i didnt recieve my 20.00 rebate

I also got the $20 rebate a while ago.

I wonder if we can sign up for the $20 repeatedly and canceling repeatedly. It doesn’t say anywhere in the terms that you can’t.

Brett, the $50 rebate for not canceling is actually five $10 rebates, a big hassle, and they space them out over months so you have to stick with them. Only good if you don’t use that card and have no balance on it.

My wife and I each did the $20 thing, and it’s nice.

But the really nice surprise was when I went to cancel yesterday (since about 20 days had passed). They offered me some strange thing if I stayed, and I said “no”, but then they offered me a $50 rebate certificate if I did not cancel and I said “sure”. Haven’t received the form yet but presumably it’s coming in the mail. And I still have about a week to cancel the credit protector program. $70 total for a program that will end up not costing anything except maybe a few stamps and half an hour of phone calls and filling out forms? Wow!

I signed up for a similar offer from Chase on a card that I never used! That card is lying in one of my drawers and am not cancelling it because of the length of time that I had it and the credit history tied with it. I dont have to worry about cancelling ……
