Credit CardBy now, many of us are well aware of most of the pros and cons associated with credit cards. Indeed, you are probably aware of common credit card perks, like rewards programs and even rental car collision coverage. However, there are some even lesser-known perks that come with various credit cards, depending on which card you get.

You might surprised at some of the awesome perks that are available to you, if you just pick the right credit card:

1. Chase Ink Bold: The Lounge Club

If you have a Chase Ink Bold business charge card, you can get an extra perk: two free visits each year to the The Lounge Club. There are about 350 participating clubs in various airports, so you can get access to The Lounge Club, and relax in style when you fly. Normally, access to these clubs is $27 per person, per visit. This isn’t a bad perk at all, especially if you want to chill in an airport lounge. Other benefits of Chase Ink Bold include 50,000 bonus points when you spend $5,000 in the first three months, up to 5x points on certain purchases, and having the $95 fee waived for the first year. It’s worth noting that the Chase Ink PLUS business credit card also offers access to The Lounge Club.

2. Visa SIGNATURE: Concierge Service

In reality, there are a number of Visa SIGNATURE cards, from this version of the Chase Freedom credit card to the Citi Platinum Select credit card, it’s possible to receive concierge services. This means that you can get help with anything. Find a hotel in a foreign country. Figure out which restaurants are open after 1 a.m. in your current locale. Get help with shopping, transportation, travel, dining, and entertainment with concierge services. Visa SIGNATURE credit cards will help you accomplish whatever you need as a credit card perk.

3. American Express: Extended Warranty

If you want extended warranty coverage, American Express is your best bet. All of the American Express cards come with extended warranty coverage of up to 12 months on products with original warranties of up to five years. Many credit card companies only offer six months extended coverage, or put limits on their 12-month coverage. On top of that, American Express is the only credit card that will actually extend the warranty on refurbished items — a great perk if you want coverage for a refurbished computer.

4. Citi ThankYou Premier: Price Protection

If you have a Citi ThankYou Premier credit card, you end up with price protection. If the price drops on an item you have purchased with the card within 60 days, you can get a refund for the difference, up to $250. This card also comes with 30,000 bonus points when you make $2,000 in purchases during the first three months, and you get extra points for certain purchases. There is a $125 annual fee, which is waived for the first year. It’s worth noting that all Citi premium credit cards come with price protection.

5. Bank of America Credit Cards: Free Museum Admission

Do you like adding a little culture to your life? If you are a Bank of America (or Merrill Lynch) credit card holder, you get free admission to museums in 85 cities on the first weekend of every single month. Even some of the most well-known museums like the Art Institute in Chicago, or the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, participate. Pull our your Bank of America card, and reap this awesome perk.

    For NYC people

American Express sponsors restaurant week every year, offering a sweet cash back deal when you dine out 4 times for lunch or dinner.

Chase offers commuter cash every now and then, giving 10 off 150 on metrocard purchases, something almost every commuter can use.

I would also add that anyone on social media sites like FB, Twitter, and Foursquare can sync their Amex Card to get great deals and savings.

I am not a frequent flyer or business entrepreneur. I am retired. My credit is excellent. What credit cards are free from annual cost and also offer airport lounge service?
