How hard is it to connect the dots and see why you <em>feel</em> broke? She wasn't broke by any stretch of the imagination; she only wanted to constantly live beyond where she was. That made her feel like she didn't have enough to live where she expected she should be able. I know what it's like to feel broke when in reality I'm nowhere near that. Living with artificial budget restriction can make you feel broke until you get used to the new norm. But it's one thing when the new norm is below your means and the other is beyond... Wow, I simply cannot imagine being with someone like that.
