Alexa’s Top 60 Personal Finance Bloggers

Hot off the fun that Yan’s Top 30 Personal Finance bloggers by Feedburner subscriptions post generated, I thought that I’d put up a top sixty personal finance bloggers according to Alexa’s scoring system. Why sixty? Well, originally I wanted to just put Top 50 but after I went through the list on pfblogs.org and my own sidebar, I reached 61 blogs with Alexa rankings under 1,000,000 so I figured I’d trim it down to an even sixty.
I wouldn’t read too much into this, it’s just fun (you can game Alexa by installing the toolbar, but the toolbar is junk), and I hope you enjoy seeing where your rankings stand against your peers. Enjoy!

Huh, the lucky number 13.
Now can you make those numbers dynamic?
You can put buttons and stuff but they’re huge, not nice and compact like Feedburner unfortunately.
Wow #14, some impressive names up there. I’m totally gaming the system by installing the toolbar for Firefox. That said, it’s actually useful as it gives you the Google PageRank of the sites you visit. It also doesn’t take any more space as it sits in the status bar.
Trent is the man to beat, by any measures
.
Lazy Man: Google toolbar gives you PageRank as well and it’s not junk!
wow # 57. I have some work to do to make the top 10.
Sigh. I know for a fact that there are really well trafficked finance blogs out there that I visit frequently that have way higher (which makes you lower in standing) Alexa rankings than I do. It’s really weird. These other blogs easily have 3x more traffic than me! Plus on high traffic days, my Alexa reach drops but jumps on slower days. So let’s see about Technorati rankings, UrlFan rankings, delicious, etc to round it all out! And the truth shall set us free.
boo, my alexa rank went down.
Geez, you got my next door neighbor and my co-worker but not me!!!
Woohoo! #29! I wonder how much of that is from me browsing to my own site or to my admin pages…
HEY! WHERE’S PUNNY MONEY!!!
All I can say is, “You wish!”
Man, that list must’ve taken a long time to compile. Thanks for the effort AND the mention! We really appreciate it.
Jim, I also wanted to add — thanks for this list, this helps me to see which blogs I should probably be visiting more often. And of course, as always, I truly appreciate the link!
So all I have to do is bump Free Money Finance to make the top 10. Hmm…
Maybe I should whip up a personal finance article tonight for a change.
Me not on there?
#1?!! WOW!
Wow, 44 after two months of blogging! I’m moving up in the world, according to Alexa atleast!
#40! WOW! I wonder if that’s from the feed off the old Blogger site. If so, I have to find a way to redirect everyone to the new feed.
I’m trying to figure out where I am on this Alexa thing. I guess I’m not as popular as you guys. But can I be like that guy in high school that just hung around in your group, but no one really knew his name?
I shouldn’t be near that high – some unusual traffic as of late
Mapgirl, it’s not based on your feed. It’s based on the # of visits from people that have the Alexa toolbar installed. Thus, it’s supposed to be a rough metric of traffic.
Oh, and the MoneyBlogNetwork is actually #1 with a ranking of 19,326.
I guess I need to join pfblogs.org. My bank bonuses blog would have made the list.
I am no big fan of the Alexa rating system, be warned that such a system can easily be fixed
I think I’m looking at the correct rating system… It says my site is 567,871 which would be me at 52! Yay I think I made it.
Thanks for taking the time to post the list.
Cool, I never imagine my blog is ranked at #26. All i can do right now is shouting “WOW!!!!”
How exciting to be in the top 50! I would have never guessed!
Interesting assessement. All part of the bigg blog puzzle, eh? Thanks for making the list long enough to keep me in!
Thanks!
Wow, now that is really incredible. I am so psyched that we made the cut! I appreciate you compiling this- it is such interesting information!!!
Dang, I’m slippin. Before I’d have been in the 20′s. Gotta get back on the grind. Great post. It’s interesting to see how some of the most publicized in mainstream media are ranked fairly low.
Thanks for the link.
There are so many new active fine PF bloggers who are gaining quite a bit of traction. It’s amazing how PF community evolves.
Great list! Wish I had time to read more of them…
Give me another 2 and a half months when I have a full 3 months and I should be on this list even if it was the top 30!!
When’s the update coming?
