Ally Bank CD Rates
Out of the ashes of the financial crisis rose the phoenix that is Ally Bank. Ally Bank, formerly known as GMAC Bank, was never in serious financial distress but its name caused many to be concerned when General Motors went bankrupt. Even though GMAC Bank and GM are not affiliate and are two separate entities, the public never got over the fact that it was called GMAC Bank and so they decided to rebrand.
Ally Bank is FDIC insured under certificate #57803 and when they appeared, they offered exception interest rates and a no nonsense fee policy. Since then, while their rates have steadily crept downward, they still have competitive rates and worth a look. If you want to learn more about them, here is our Ally Bank review.
