I was able to add funds when I renewed my 1 year CD into a 2 year bump up CD. I have 4 no penalty CDs maturing this Friday and I recevied the same letter so I am assuming I can add funds as well. We’ll see on Friday!

I think Ally is a good choice to bank with. Their rates are usually in the top 5 internet banks at bankrate.com and they offer a wide variety of savings options.

Some places only offer CD’s or only offer savings while Ally has savings, interest checking, money markets, and CD’s.

Still look around, but Ally is consistent and that just makes things easier.
