American Express Offers RSS Feeds for Promotions

Want to be the first kid on the block to know about the latest American Express promotions and deals? Well if you login to your AMEX account, look towards the right under Account Services and the six RSS offerings in four major categories. I justed signed up to some of the feeds so I don’t know if this is going to be a useful service or just another mechanism for a credit card company to push “hot offers” that really aren’t that hot. Time will be the final arbiter on that one but since it’ll only take up a little spot in my Bloglines account, it’s worth a try. (With RSS you can always unsubscribe without hoping they actually unsubscribe since you’ll be pulling data, as opposed to them pushing it)

While you need to have an account in order to see the summary page listing each offering, you don’t need one in order to subscribe to the RSS feed itself. After the jump I list what you would see if you logged in as well as the associated RSS feed.

Travel – Air, Lodging & Cruises – “Plan your dream vacation or just a quick weekend getaway when notified about hotel, cruise, and flight deals to places like Las Vegas, Maui, Europe, and more.” [RSS] [3]

The Membership Rewards Program – Earning & Using Points – “Find out about new and up-to-date ways to earn Membership Rewards bonus points — and exciting rewards for when you’re ready to redeem. [RSS] [4]

Gold Card Events – “Access to some of the best seats in the house for popular events across the country.”

IN:NYC Card Events and Promotions – Events, offers and rewards – “Be in the know all the time—As an IN:NYC Cardmember you can get access to movie screenings and special performances, receive exclusive offers from spas, boutiques and restaurants, get last minute tickets, and more!” [RSS] [8]

Need an AMEX? The American Express Preferred Rewards Gold Card [9] will give you $100 after your first purchase.
