I shopped around and Costco actually had the best quality tires for my minivan. I expected them to have crap and was pleasantly suprised. I am very happy with their tire service. First I had to order the tires on their internet site and they called me when they arrived at my local Costco a few days later, where they installed them. You can’t just walk into their tire store and expect them to have your size in stock.

I tried to get Costco tires, but they didn’t carry any suitable for my 2001 car. I ended up going to Firestone and paying more.

Nitrogen molecules are larger than oxygen molecules, so they are less able to escape through the rubber of the tires, thus maintaining the accurate tire pressure and fuel efficiency. Isn’t science neat?

A $40 “warranty”?
What ever happened to the idea that a warranty is a bad financial deal? Extended car, appliances, computers etc..

I buy $5 tire plug kits at Wal-Mart and keep them in each vehicle. I pay less for my tires* and less for my own “warranty.”

I have been in parking lots and on the side of the road at 2 AM and after 10 minutes I am back on the road.

*Cost of tires is relative to your vehicle. I drive a 96 S10 not a Mercedes so mine would be less anyway.
