I agree with almost all that you said. Why should a successful business or person be penalized for that success, unless the success is a result of fraud or other illegal activity? Our individual actions and decisions have consequences.

I agree with most of this post.
We have to live responsible lives before we ask others (including corporations) to act the same.
Only when we recycle as most as we can, and plan our driving to spend as little gas as possible we can expect others to fix things.

The US government makes 2x the profits on oil than the oil companies do. Their taxes are a lot of the promblem..... And as anyone read any articles about oil not being a fossil fuel, that is being created naturally inside the earth. Explaining why old oil reseveres are filling up again.

I've got to say, not everyone has the option of carpooling. "Quit your job or else move" is not especially useful advice.

On the other hand "get the government to steal the money back for you" is even worse advice.

I'm not sure why people seem to think that punitive taxation can prevent hurricanes. And since the price of gasoline has dropped by over a third since labor day, it's pretty obvious that the hurricanes were the cause of the spike.

gotta say I"m with you on this one. As much as it hurts my wallet when gas goes near or over $3/gallon, I think we've had it far too cheap for a long timeand we're paying for it in other ways (environment etc)
