Discover Card has been on a blitz lately with all sorts of shopping related promotions and this time they’ve partnered with Fandango to give you one free movie ticket if you buy one movie ticket through Fandango.com. Luckily we just got the Discover Gas card otherwise I’d need to go get a Discover card, looks like my Citi mtvU card will have to take a backseat to Discover Gas until New Years.

I used this link and my Discover card to purchase two tickets in December and the promotion didn’t go through. So I contacted Fandango and let them know they owed me one free ticket or a refund. They replied that they couldn’t do a refund but gave me a promotional code to use for a free ticket in the future. I had my dad use it while paying for movie tickets for the extended family the day after Christmas and (surprise!) the code was good for $25 off! So we got 5 movie tickets for $9… not too bad after all.
