New to your site-great job! I personally like the idea of having a stimulating financial package that I can carry around in my pants and whip out to impress those financially in need of help (“Financial Viagra” you might call it). Mind you, I believe in equal opportunity but personally only work with the female population. You might send one on to Capitol Hill as they seem a little limp in their stimulus package to this point. I thought this was a well-done video and some good comments on the nuru cards. I think the last poster had a good idea – goiod for the kids. I teach personal finance and I’d like to see a copy of these. Actually $7 sounds reasonable.

I don’t buy the selling point of “key ring and hand-held size”. It’s a gimmick that will never be used. Are there really people who find will suddenly find themselves in desperate need of a “REIT” definition, only to look in their pocketbooks or on their key ring and think “wow, thank God for my hand-held NURU cards with convenient key ring holder!”?

Not saying the cards are bad, mind you.

I like the video review Jim, maybe you could do some video reviews of some personal finance books and magazines?

These cards look like a nice easy way to get started learning about personal finance. Searching on the internet takes a bit of time and guesswork while books prove to be even more difficult. A flash card packet thing like this looks easy and fun and would help out beyond the college folks.

There are a lot of those out there who aren’t exactly the reading type and unfortunately they get left behind. I found this especially true with my coworkers at the Chinese restaurant. They want to learn more, but the task seems too daunting for them – imagine learning organic chemistry. At set of cards like this will ease them in the right direction.

Thanks for the review of the NURU Personal Finance Cards.

I’ve read a lot of books & done a lot of research online on personal finance. I’ve been trying to teach my 2 sons (22 & 17) as much as possible on this topic.

I think these cards would be great for both boys to give them an overview of personal finance (from someone other than Mom!) & encourage them to do more research on the topic.

My wife and I have one who graduated college last year and three in college now, and two in high school. (blended marriage) For the kids in college now, these would absolutely become a valuable asset. They are always asking us about personal finance. Thanks for the exposure to these cards. Your video could use a little more volume.

Thanks for reviewing these. Having realized about a year ago that I didn’t understand personal finance beyond the basic checking, savings, and credit card. (Apparently I slept through my college finance courses.) I don’t think I can be successful if I don’t even know what is going on!
Since then, I spend a little time each day trying to collect information on this topic. Most of the time, about half of what I learn/read/hear is in lingo that I don’t know. These cards sound like a great mini reference that could be very useful for exactly those times.

I would love this deck, I am the personal finance “guru” of my friends and this deck would be great to shore up anything I don’t know and help explain some of the personal finance topics I help them with.
