Capital One’s Financial CEO’s $250M Payday

“What’s in your wallet?” is the slogan of Capital One and what’s in Capital One Financial’s CEO Richard Fairbank’s wallet is a cool $250 million from 2.6M in stock options. Now, before you get all worked up about CEO pay, Fairbank has only been paid with stock options since 1997 so in that respect he’s truly working for the shareholder.
Oh yeah, what was his haul in 2004? Only $56 million.
