We have a Chase Freedon Credit card which carried the 3% plan on grocery stores, dept. stores and drug stores. We were notified that this program would end effective June 29, 2009 and we would get 1% on future charges. Now, we are informed of a new program on which we can use our Chase Debit Card (which we don't have) or our Washington Mutual Debit Card which we do have. Apparently, if we use our Washington Mutual Debit Card, we can avail ourselves of the "new" 3% program for grocery stores, gas stations and drug stores - this program ending on Sept. 30, 2009. Is this scenario correct, the whole thing is confusing. Thank You for your assistance - we need more info

I wouldn't mind the bonus, but I already have a very old Chase card. I've held off on changing over because I wonder if they would extend this offer to existing customers.
