I'm not sure if Chase+ is differnet than Chase Flexible Rewards, but with Flexible Rewards, you can get a 50" Toshiba DLP TV for a low cost of 236,500 points. Its not even 1080p - sheesh, not much of a reward for spending $236,500 on thier card (At least you get free shipping).

Here's the description:

Tune into this Toshiba for your favorite movies, and you'll know why they call them "special effects." Everything comes alive and comes at you with more vibrant colors on this high-definition screen that's brighter than ever, courtesy of the TALEN 720p DLP engine and a Radiance lamp with Quick Restart that is 25% brighter. PixelPure Hi-Bit digital video processing creates 4,096 steps of gradation between the whitest white and the blackest black, so you get incredible detail in every picture. Integrated high-definition tuner has CableCARD slot. 47 3/10"W x 16 3/5"D x 30 4/5"H. Weight: 74 lbs. ^TV Stand for 50 Toshiba.

I don't think I write more than others but I'm at a point in my financial life that talking about credit cards is pretty normal I think. I don't have debt, my investing strategy is mostly in index funds, I already own a home, and I'm about to get married. There isn't really a "goal" in sight so talking about something that's always ongoing, credit, is what I think about when I do think about it.

No CapOne, I don't go abroad often so I didn't see a point to getting a card just for that.

Since you write so much about credit cards, I just assumed that you had a lot them. Guess it wasn't a good assumption on my part. As for the Capitol One, I would assume you had one to avoid foreign exchange fess in your travels. Oops.

I've got one for you....

The wife of one of the owners of my company wanted to be on the last Concorde flight from NY to London. Since at the time she was one of the top 10 Amex point holders in the country (Amex offers points for some business cards as well) Amex went and bought two tickets on the flight from a ticket broker, just to get her to use her points up. She then turned around and paid cash for one of the tickets, only using up a portion of the points :)

I thought that was a pretty cool one.

The most expensive Capital One Reward seems to be Hot Spring Sovereign Spa
for 1,692,000 Miles. Roomy enough to treat you and five friends like royalty with a seating capacity of six adults weighing 175 pounds each. Contemporary styling adds just the right look to your back yard or deck, and your regal spa experience features all the amenities you desire: 1 Moto-Massage jet, 2 Soothing Seven jets, 2 JetStream jets, 2 Rotary hydromassage jets, 2 directional Hydromassage jets and 14 directional Precision jets. Spa holds 355 gallons of water and includes a vinyl cover for protection while not in use. Measures 7'9"W x 6'8"D x 33"H. Weight: 713 lbs. *Warranted Product.

The coolest one to me on my limited inspection is: 3-Night Napa Valley, CA Golf or Spa Option package For Two for 540,000 Miles.

You can also get JVC 70" Widescreen HD LCOS/HD-ILA Rear Projection Television for 1,278,500 Miles.

You generally earn one mile per dollar spent or two miles per dollar spent at some specific things that make no sense to me (currently including book stores; gift, card, novelty & souvenir shops; artist's supply & craft shops; florists and videotape rental stores)

hope that amuses you. I can look up other random stuff later if you'd like :)
