Credit Reports 101 on ABC News’ Money Matters

This week I had the great pleasure of being on ABC News’ Money Matter television program. For nearly seven minutes of LIVE television, I discussed credit reports with host Tanya Rivero. We discussed how often I check my credit reports, the different types of credit inquiries, what’s in your credit report, and how damaging late payments can be on your credit worthiness and credit score.
Being on live television was certainly a treat, a bit nerve-wracking, but I think I did alright for my first foray into live television right?
Right?
Please let me know what you think!

Nice work. Very professional.
You did well and keep up the good work!!!
Great interview!
Well to be honest you didn’t seem to be interviewing for the first time on TV itself. You did it just perfect, the way you are, the Bargaineering way …
Wow, excellent. Great job with the interview!
You did great.
Great job! I thought that was one of the most helpful tutorials I’ve seen on credit for a long time.
Well done. Good content and great delivery!
I thought you did great.
Good job.
You did very well, and seemed natural rather than nervous.
Good job! Nice measured delivery, good content not too fast. Hopefully, people will realize that insurance companies & employers use credit information to charge more or disqualify applicants- not good. I liked the power points however, it would have been better to list the numbers or websites for the credit agencies. Maybe you can add this info to the newsletter.
Thank you everyone for your kind words! You guys are far too generous in your praise.
Nice job bud! “Smooth” and “Cool”
I thought you appeared very professional and knowledgeable. I was impressed!
congratulations, you did great!:)
You were awesome on TV! Very professional and knowledgeable. Maybe we should call you crediteering now?
Those Bargaineering videos are paying off.
Jim, You did a nice job. I want to mention that with Lifelock & Debix being successfully sued, people need to realize that there is a better way to lock your credit report. I just wrote an article on my site telling everyone how to lock their credit for very little money, while getting even better protection than Lifelock or Debix offers.
Good job Jim – you seemed a bit nervous at the get go, but a few minutes in, you were an old pro!!
So was this on national TV, a cable channel, a local station? It looks like you were in a studio somewhere, but obviously not with the lady interviewing you. Were the questions staged (did you already know what questions she was going to ask??).
Also, did one day you get a phone call/e-mail out of the blue about being on the show?
Was that a booger?
Solid interview.
You were awesome! Very clear and informative.
Dude – that’s awesome!
Well done Jim! You were amazing! I love your voice.
Well done Jim! Looks great!
