I love this idea. I have been using little post it notes on the back of my credit cards and my atm card for the past year so I don’t have to guess “do I have enough for this or not?” I’ve also gone a step further an wrote messages such as, “Don’t use me, I’ll take 3 years to pay off!!!!”

Good Idea. I put a post-it note with my next credit card repayment goal in mine. Keeps my priorities in check.

Not sure if this is going to work . When we buy stuff let’s say in grocery store we are dumping it in our shopping cart and we are not looking at our credit card . And when we see the card (checkout counter ) the purchase decision is already made .

Trent – That is even better than what I recommend, it’s one thing to see writing and ignore it, it’s a wholly different thing to look at a picture of your kids.

I do a very similar thing. I keep my credit card in a little paper sleeve and on that sleeve is a picture of my children. That means I have to look at their faces each time I bust out the card.

Nice idea! I’ve heard about wrapping your card in some sort of reminder note. However, boldly putting it directly on the card seems like an even stronger commitment!

Really like this article. I could probably stand to write my goal weight on my credit card so I’m not tempted to buy fast food while I’m out
