At first you laugh, then you realize that for years Americans, politicians included, have been buying stuff they can’t afford. Look up some credit card debt statistics and you’ll be shocked.

I originally saw this while my wife and I were going through Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. It’s really a gem! And so true.
Just saw this video myself a couple weeks back. Excerpts are included in the documentary, I.O.U.S.A., which is an interesting bit of information itself.
That is a funny video. I actually remember seeing that on SNL a while back. Just as you point on Jim, it really hits on the point that Americans including politicians buy stuff they can’t afford. I love the part at the end where he says can he put it on his credit card.
Send it to Paulson he needs to understand a few basics.
