Interesting concept. I've never really thought of hedging in a way credit points to my advantage, but now I know yet another credit trick...

I was watching tv and a commercial for a credit card for people with bad credit came on. Check out the terms at the bottom of www.theimaginecard.com. THEY ARE RIDICULOUS. Talk about preying on people that already have bad credit. Check it out, I'd love to see your comments.

BofA gave me $25 to spend $500, exactly the month that we bought a new couch for the living room. So it was like getting a $25 markdown.

Yeah I was confusing things. Didn't realized the 10% referred back to the 3000 bonus points, and not 10% on top of that....

It's a limited promotion and it's capped at $300 so it's not that surprising.

You're math is off. In fact the citi professional offer is an additional 10% back + normal cash back. So you could be making as much as 13% back at restraunts, office supply stores, and car rentals. I also received the same offer on my CitiBuisiness card which I have not performed any purchases on in about 6 months.
