I’ve been given the difficult task of trying to fill the sizable shoes of Bargaineering’s founder, Jim Wang. As the new editor of Bargaineering, I’ll try to bring the same spirit of curiosity and intellectual rigor to Bargaineering that Jim did, and hopefully Jim’s regular readers will choose to stick around and dish about personal finance with me and the rest of Bargaineering’s contributors.
A little about myself: Previously, I was a reporter for Bankrate.com for about 4 years, and an unrepentant cheapskate for much longer. I’m a husband and father, with two daughters aged 5 and 2, a Miami Dolphins fan, a gamer, a music lover and a reader of comics and other stuff.
My plan is to continue writing about the whole universe of personal finance issues Jim covered, while bringing in some of the financial knowledge I’ve picked up in my reporting and my pursuit of a CFA charter designation over the last couple of years.
If there’s anything you’re curious about, or want us to pay more attention to, let us know! We want this to be a conversation, not a monologue (sorry theater people and supervillains), so please comment, email and tweet at us if you’ve got something to say, positive or negative, about what we write.
Also, if you’ve got any suggestions about things we should write about, or have any trying personal finance questions you need answers to, feel free to drop us a line. And feel free to follow me on Twitter: @ClaesBell
