sweetsue - I featured not the man but the sketch in that it makes fun of the ridiculous excesses showcased by MTV Cribs. I don't know the history behind him and the contract but I thought the skit, when it aired years ago, was hilarious and would make for a good weekend laugh.

I find Chappelle mildly amusing sometimes but I find it odd that you should feature a man who for no logical reason, walked off his show and forfeited 50 million dollars! His vague excuse was something about racism, then it was something about 'society' forcing black men to dress like women ( Martin Lawrence, Tyler Perry, Robin Williams, et al are being 'forced' to dress like women???) Then he said it was something even vaguer about the 'integrity' of his show, etc, etc etc. when he was the head writer.

What I'm getting at is he is the type of person who constantly comes up with excuses to act irresponsibly about his finances. Instead, of admitting he could not handle it, he comes up with excuse after excuse-watch him on Oprah, he can't even get his story straight.
