But they had to have done market studies to figure how much each new signup was "worth." It's what casinos do when they give away X dollars and force you to wager 12 times the bonus amount, because they know a new customer is worth more than the bonus. Each new signup must be worth more than $99 (or less if they can get a discount for buying iPods in bulk, but I doubt it considering their popularity) otherwise they wouldn't have decided to do it. That's also why they force you to stick for 6 months, maybe in that 6 months I'll decide to make a few more trades and see what happens. Me and my wife both goth ipods for new accounts, but that was just the start. We have referred about 30 people to this for 30 x $24 = $720, we have made money on recent stock purchases, and I think one would be hard pressed to beat their commission structure. My 4 "other" brokerage accounts are really overcharging me comparred to ex24. Hope they can get IRA's in the future so I can transfer all of my accounts to ex24. Most of our friends have signed up thru us for a FREE $24 PER account. It’s too bad a lot of people just sign up at ex24 to get the free ipod.
