Yes, after FAFSA processed and approved my kid's application that took only several minutes, was excellent, the problem is the college where the Grant was submitted for my son's education, after many errands to that college, at the end 5 days before classes starts I was advised by the college that I have to make a payments plans because Financial office still reviewing my kid's application even that they asked me to bring my incometax and W's. Is a nightmare for me, because I do not funds to cost my kid's higher education, I used part of my rent in order to accept the payments plan, financial at the college told me my kid has to wait from one or three months in order the college finalize doing the reviewing for his grant. I do not have funds to continuing making the other payments, I am stuck with my last month rent that I still behind, and the bank of america sent me other bill to pay the second portion of the payment plan, my question who gives the monies for those grants the goverment or the college?

I do my son's FAFSA every year. It's a great program. All the federal aid comes from one application, filled out online. It couldn't be simpler.

So many of my friends and family members neglect to fill out a FAFSA. I just cant understand it..free money...for a few minutes of filling out a form. I fill mine out the second I can each year, and each year the dough rolls in. I mean its not huge chunk of money but any money, free from the government, to help with financing my education is worth the time. The first time filling out the form will take the longest, then every year after that the info is prepopulated according to last years info and one just has to review the info and submit it. So easy.
