The interesting thing about John McCain in being cleared by the Senate is…he was a MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES!!! The Senate had no authority over him…whoa.

John McCain and John Glenn were cleared of having acted improperly but were criticized for having exercised “poor judgment”.

The ensuing investigation found that McCain’s “actions were not improper nor attended with gross negligence and did not reach the level of requiring institutional action against him….Senator McCain has violated no law of the United States or specific Rule of the United States Senate.”

I’d check with your policy underwriter on that, it may vary from place to place. I’m pretty confident that when a bank fails, you still keep the contents of your deposit box (though you may have to go and pick it up ASAP) but I don’t know.
