I just want to point out one additional thing--check to make sure your food bank gives the food away vs. selling it at low cost. Here in Iowa, our Food Pantries give the food away, the food bank sells it (sometimes sells it to the food pantry). When I checked via your link, only my food bank came up (must be run by the Second harvest folks), we have food pantries here as well, that are run by the area religious council.

Also, check your grocery stores for easy donating. Ours have Food Pantry Red Barrels in the entry for you to leave donated items, or you can purchase a pre-bagged sack of &quot;most-needed items&quot; for only $5 and leave it in the Red Barrel.
