Free Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream Cone Day: April 12th

Mark your calendars because Ben and Jerry’s free cone day for 2011 is next Tuesday, April 12th this year. Procrastinators slaving away on their tax returns can take a much needed break and stop by their local Ben & Jerry’s for a free cone. As for those of you who didn’t wait until the last few moments to file, you’re welcome to just take a break from life and enjoy a free scoop. Just be warned, the lines will probably be long. 
The free scoop offer is available from 12 pm – 8 pm. Here are some of the new flavors this year:
- Late Night Snack: Inspired by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon – Fair Trade Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with a Salty Caramel Swirl & Fudge Covered Potato Chip Clusters (the fudge uses Fair Trade cocoa, too!)
- Bonnaroo Buzz: – Light Coffee & Malt ice creams with Whiskey Caramel swirls & English Toffee pieces. This flavor, inspired by the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, is back by popular demand in Scoop Shops and now available in pints!
- Stephen Colbert’s AmeriCone Dream: Vanilla ice cream with fudge covered waffle cone pieces & a caramel swirl. A long time pint favorite, so popular we made it a scoop shop flavor for the first time this year!
- Clusterfluff: Peanut Butter Ice Cream with Caramel Cluster Pieces, Peanut Butter & Marshmallow Swirls

Wish there was a Ben & Jerry’s close to me!!
If the government shuts down I’ll be a furloughed contractor…so I’ll have plenty of time to stand in line for a free cone next Tuesday
Yum, but I’m not going to stand in line for my free cone with 20k other college students. I’m definitely excited to try the new flavors in pints though.
Yeah, if you do this deal, definitely stay away from the campus locations…
i loved this day. i made a point to walk past all my fellow students in the insane line. walk in the shop. pay my two dollars. enjoy ice cream. walk past the line on my way out while still enjoying my ice cream.
Oh good grief… Clusterfluff in a pint is going to get me! I can withstand nearly any temptation except peanut butter ice cream.

my one and only local store closed last year. it was also before free cone day. i am still a little upset about it.
Only one more day.
