Man, If I had asked around a little more, I would have found out that I'm better off taking COBRA from my old company since the plan was much much better there. Or just saving the premium altogether and going with a private HMO for myself. One single healthcare expense can really throw off your financial plan and consumer-driven plans are not optimal. That is one thing I totally regret not knowing about my latest company. Talking to friends about health plans too is key.
