A lot of people have been hurting lately because of the woes of our economy and with the holidays coming up, we could all use a hand. Home Depot, a store I shop at all the time, has teamed up with us to offer a $100 Home Depot Gift card to help you get into the holiday spirit. If you have any holiday home improvement plans, this gift card might be right up your alley. Home Depot has also done something pretty clever with these cards, there are seventeen different styles, including one (shown) that looks and feels like it’s wrapped in duct tape.
All you need to do to get an entry into the contest is leave a comment below (with your email address). As with all giveaways, email subscribed readers also get an entry. That means if you are subscribed and you leave a comment, you double your chances of winning the card. (No disrespect to regular RSS readers, there’s just no way to identify individual RSS subscribers)

I am a subscriber already.I think that its a God sent to put it on the hearts of everyone involved in this giveaway with the economy effecting everyone including businesses.I would like to help my daughter out with something for her apartment.Shes had a lot of things shes had to face startig at 7yrs.old.She has just recently gotten her own apt.with her 2yr.old just finishing a medical course.She been employed since graduation and now shes barely getting hours because of the bad economy but she still smiles and do the very best to make ends meet.This would be a tremedous help to her at this time.May God Bless You and Its Just A Wonderful Thing.And My FOX is the #1 T.V. station Love to watch you guys

I would like to win this card. Wanted to leave a comment about how you can save some money by buying something at Home Depot.
I would use this card to get a programmable thermometer for my home. Right now, we have one from 1988 which does not have the ability to be programmed so I keep forgetting to turn it off when I leave the house or go to sleep. By replacing my old heating switch I know I will be saving a lot on my heating costs.

Hey Jim! The way I use to identify individual RSS readers when I do things like this is:
Use Feedburner’s custom Feed Flares to put a secret passphrase into the bottom of RSS posts.
Have subscribers email the passphrase back to me to get their entry.
Remove it when the contest is over!
It’s not fool-proof or perfect – people could hypothetically subscribe, email the passphrase to me, and then unsubscribe, but that’s just enough of a barrier that most people won’t do it.

Thus the season to be giving but all of us can’t give this year due to the crapy year we’ve had with money situations. This year may be the toughest year I’ve had for the Holiday season and having childern to get for Christmas. I can really use the gift card this year.
