The Millionaire MindWith readership increasing and your comments coming fast and furiously (I appreciate it!), I wanted to learn more about you folks. So, to facilitate this I’ll be holding a two-week “contest.” All that you need to do to enter is write (a comment with) a little blurb about yourself, how you found this site (via another site, search engine, etc), and, if you’d like, let me know what you thought of it (what’s good, bad, ugly, etc.). Also, if you have a blog and choose to link to me (or already link to me) – that’ll be worth another entry for a maximum of two entries per person.

In return, I’ll draw one of the name’s out of a hat and mail you a hardcover copy of The Millionaire Mind by Thomas Stanley. This means that you’ll need to leave me your email (or some way to contact you), which will remain hidden and I’ll never use for anything, so I can reach you on June 19th May 19th. (Wow, how’d I mess up that one)

Thanks and good luck!

Update: Contest closed. Thank you for everyone who entered, I’ll contact the winner in the next few days and get your address. Thanks again for participating and for the positive feedback. Cheers! 🙂

Winner: Incidentally, the winner of the book was Lore and I’ll be shipping out the book in few days. Thanks everyone for entering!

    I think you mean May 19th. =)

    About me:
I’ve been employed in a small company since I graduated from college three years ago. I work more than eight hours a day and get paid a fix annual salary. I want to make a difference in my life. I have been learning to take control of my finances and investments. I read up on financial materials during my spare time and I know it is important to begin taking control of your finances early. If you haven’t started yet, the time to begin is NOW. Start planning and managing your finances and be in control of your money. I work hard for my money and I will make my money work hard for me. I’m struggling to get out of this rat race… to VICTORY and financial independence.

    Also added link to you.

Hey! I track several financial blogs through Bloglines. I like to see what others are doing and talking about. As my site gets up and running (it’s just been live a couple weeks), I plan to highlight those that I like.

Not sure how I heard of you. I find blogs in all sorts of ways — links, searches, articles, etc. Sorry, I know it’s not much help.

I can’t say that I’ve read a lot of what you’ve done. I look at the Bloglines headline and read the summary, and if it looks interesting, I click through. Sorry, I haven’t clicked through a lot to your site. I usually go for very practical and simple to use money ideas (that’s the idea behind so if you’re writing about more complicated stuff, I probably just ignore it.

Best of luck to you. I’ll keep watching the feed!

Hi, I’m a single 26yo guy from rural Virginia. I’m an amateur when it comes to financial stuff. I can’t remember how I found your site initially. I searched for finance blogs on on bloglines and cruised various blog sites’ blogrolls. Anyway, I read this site via bloglines now. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen so far.

I found your site through It’s Your Money website/blog. I just turned 40 (ouch, that hurt to say!), I live in Florida, no kids, and am very close to paying off my condo (the end of this year). I am working towards an early retirement from my career (paralegal) but not from work altogether. Sites like these help!
    Thanks again.

I found your website back when it was called! I am 2 years removed from leaving school with my MS degree in Mechanical Engineering. Engaged, but not married yet…soon though. Since I have not been exposed to much business in my career/schooling, I thoroughly enjoy learning about concepts of business. I was/still am thinking of getting my MBA but have put it off a while because of the changes in my life that are occurring. I would consider myself a newbie to business in general, so all this info is great for me!!!

I found this website and your book through you TV show. Bought the book last weekend and I am hooked on your show (would like to know if you have a radio station in Philadelphia). Will be retiring in about 7-8 years and would like to make extra money for retirement ( I am not using my retirement money for investing). You got me hooked on knowing the market. Very interesting and thanks!!!!!!!

-I re-doing my links today, so a link to your site will be up by the end of today.

  18. jim says:

Hahah, some people think I’m Jim Cramer despite my protests. It’s because I have a post about Mad Money and people reach this site from search engines thinking this Jim is Mr. Cramer.

    I wish I had a TV show… hahahaha. Or even a book. 🙂

  19. About me:
I am a Computer Engineering Computer Science major at USC, and have recently become interested in planning for my future and picking up a few bucks here and there. My blog is just getting started and is now mainly used as a quick link place for me and a place where my friends/others can get ING Direct/Virtual Bank referrals. As I have more time this summer I will increase the content and provide reviews/calculators etc, primarily with a focus on low/medium risk saving vehicles, as well as setting it up on my own hosting.

I came across your site via the PFBlog network and though I admittedly have just starting reading it, I particularly appreciate the layout and professionalism of the interface.

Best of luck with your blog, and come by and visit mine after I get things rolling some more.

    Hi Jim,

I’m a real estate agent from Missouri. I followed a link here from a comment you left on Great blog here and I was appreciating your perspective on the homebuying process. I have a couple of blogs, one real estate related and another on the barter industry ( and I’m linking you from both.

The book is great. I’ve already got a copy, so if you draw my name, you can go ahead and draw another.

anyways after reading a few post I bookmarked ur site cuz there’s plenty of relevant post to me. I like the site format because its clean and easy to read, I ESPECIALLY like the neato feature of Comment Preview while I’m typing out the comments. It makes me want to type more and more. lol.

anyways, can’t pass up a free book, especially one I haven’t read yet.

I found your webpage from another blog “Personal Finance for the New Age”. I find your site very interesting. I’m just getting started in the world of finance and hope to learn as much as possible so I don’t blow my money like so many other people do. Your site has provided me with some great information to get me started. Keep up the good job. I have no gripes with your site.
