Sadly I do think it is true. You don’t know what you got till it’s gone (or almost gone.) At my company, leaving is the only way I can get more than a 3.5% raise. Unfortunately even threatening won’t work, they don’t care.

Too funny and too true. The last job I didn’t want to talk about a raise much until I casually mentioned that I had been looking at some other jobs where I could make more money.

This was hillarious and absolutely true. Too bad HR and Management never seem to get this idea.
