This lady has no idea what she is talking about. First of all no one tells you the consultation is going to be quick, they told me it would be an hour to an hour and a half. Second of all you husband did not have an allergic reaction or it wouldve happened while they were doing the testing. You husband just had a vasal vagal reaction which means he wussed out, panicked and fainted. The office did the right thing, which includes leaving him in a laying down position and placing a wet rag on his head. By the way I am no way affiliated with this office, but it makes me mad when people rip doctors and have no idea what they are talking about.

been over a month since i had lasik eye surgery. I can see 20/20 no dryness and just little halos, buts its been getting better. Was a fast and easy operation and recovery

Stay away from the Lasik Plus Vision centers. They are nothing but eye surgery factories in it for the money. Find a independent eye surgeon.

Just an update…
I am about a month post op.
No dryness…no halos..no anything except 20/20 vision.

I was so nervous, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. Best money I ever spent!

Hey Biggr,

hopefully you get to read this before saturday! Im having my surgery done by dr. Pettinelli at his jersey office on saturday, I had my consult today. I am super freaked out about all the possible things that could happen, that they make you sign off on (I guess so they dont get sued..)

I really liked everyone in the office in jersey..and this is something Ive been considering for a long time. Im getting the wavefront custom intralase for 3k (they worked with me a bit on the pricing-it was originally 4800)

How are you now a few months post op? Im really nervous and excited at the same time.

I went to TLC Lasik and Lasik Plus…and I didn’t find a bad vibe either way. I believe TLC and Plus both have you sign the consent form the day of. Also, even though TLC has Tiger Woods backing them up, it felt more like a car dealership talking about if I buy this package I can get the lifetime warranty…whereas Plus only had one sum that includes the lifetime, they don’t even do the blade procedure anymore. I thought Plus was more friendly and down to earth. However, I think both places have good experienced doctors. At this point it just depends on your own preference.

I went to Lasix Plus for a consultation. They want $2100 per eye, which seems high. It’s for the PRK (big pupils as well). I see others above have gotten the same surgery for around 3k. I’m in the sacramento area, so if anyone has any suggestions, I’d appreciate it.

Lasik Plus was were my family member went, they didnt even have them sign a CONSENT FORM until the NEXT day! I have heard great things about Lasik, but not lasik plus.

I’m 20 years old and considering Lasik surgery at the LasikPlus in Albany, NY. If anyone has had surgery done there, any info would be greatly appreciated. Both of my eyes are -2.25 and have been for the last 3 years. I have been wearing contacts since I was 13. I feel as though its time to get the surgery, but am I too young? Contacts are a pain in college, and I am on a traveling track and field team, so it is also very inconvenient to always bring my contacts with me to hotels. Would Lasik be a good decision for me?

So far so good! I was scheduled to have a follow up last Thursday, but reschedule it for tomorrow, so I will have to give you another update after tomorrow.
The procedure was fast and Dr. Pettinelli was very helpful in answering all of my questions before the surgery. You don’t really feel anything, except for some discomfort and a funny smell caused by the laser doing its job.
The only thing I can complain about, which had nothing to do with the actual procedure, is that after the surgery you pop up and you are shown the door. I feel like a little postop pep talk would have been helpful. Although,they do tell you everything you need to know about the procedure and any subsequent treatments and follow ups before operating, but who listens to all that when in about 20 minutes your life is going to change for the best. That is the ONLY issue I had with Lasik Plus.
The next day after the procedure, I went in for a follow up and I was 20/15 in my left eye and 20/25 in my right. I was told that my vision will under go changes for the next 6 months, but not bad for the day after! Since then, it has been amazing!! I can see things that I couldn’t see with my contacts or glasses.
Overall, I would recommend Lasik Plus to anyone who ask! You don’t realize how much life with contacts/glasses suck until you don’t need them anymore and you wake up and can clearly see the alarm clock. Go for it!!
I will let you know how tomorrow goes.

I just wanted to let everyone know that it took about 3 weeks for the redness to go completely away..but, I’m now seeing 20/15 in both eyes, and I absolutely love it!! And, I’m very happy with my choice in going to Lasik Plus in Nashville, TN.

I actually was supposed to do my surgery there back in November, but due to economic conditions I had to hold off. I want to ask you how your surgery went (if you did go through with it) a couple weeks post op. How much did you pay? They told me it would $2299 per eye, and I said no way, I could get cheaper and quoted $3000 in total for th regular lasik surgery (not the custom one). Also did you go through Dr. Damon Pettinelli? When I did my consulation, I worked with a young fellow, but dont remember his name, and his assistant Joy. Overall, how was the whole experience? Your feedback would be a world of a difference!

Not to mention, the scare tactics they used to convince me that I shouldn’t go to any other doctor (”Another doctor will hack into your eyes, only ours is gentle enough” – something to that extent)… shame on them! Do research about different type of LASIK, otherwise they WILL be sure to fool you into something you don’t need to pay so much for.
