We ended up choosing Shore Mortgage as our mortgage company, which was one of the lenders referred by Lending Tree. They were incredibly fast. We had a pre-approval for the full asking price just within a few hours of sending the request for info through Lending Tree. They worked hard for us and got things done fast! We closed on our mortgage in about 6 weeks, and got a very competitive rate (6% fixed for 30 years). We closed on the house in less than 2 months after paying off a Chapter 13 bankruptcy. We had our FICO scores back up to 700, and had money in the bank, though, so it wasn't that hard to get a mortgage.
