I think the only (economical) way to vacation in Bermuda is through a cruise because everything on the island is expensive. If you want a hamburger, you'll probably pay around $12 for it! As for excursions, they are definitely extremely structured and probably not worth what you pay for them. I might suggest it if you're cruising in a place where they don't speak English but in Bermuda it wasn't an issue (for those who don't know, Bermuda is still a protectorate of the U.K.). I agree. My wife and I took a Royal Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon two years ago, and it was difficult to adjust to paying for meals in restaurants after we got back. I recommend a cruise for anyone who wants to feel like a king or queen for a week, but I recommend against taking the paid excursions - they're a waste of time, and they're far too structured.
