I was referring to the ‘clunky’ factor, especially on the free online system, and also the general set-up of the MD system. I’m not from here originally, so I find it funny that each county taxes at a different rate and MD has that dual-income worksheet (I think that’s what they call it). Like you said, though, there’s not much to complain about when you’re doing the quarterly.

Which part of the system did you not find friendly? I’ve only done the regular filing of Maryland income taxes and now the estimated and both seemed pretty good (albeit clunky), you can e-file in MD for free through their online system – that’s pretty good in my book.

I also found this surprisingly easy when we had a nanny and had to pay taxes relating to her. I was surprised because Maryland’s system of taxes isn’t very payer-friendly in general (probably the case with most states).
