Plutus Awards Nominations Open

The Plutus Awards are awards given out in the personal finance community at our annual financial conference, FINCON [3]. It was started a few years ago by my friend Luke Landes of Consumerism Commentary [4] and it’s a fun way for the community to celebrate their own. We throw on a little awards ceremony, Kevin McKee from Thousandaire [5] does a little rap, and it’s a fun time.

Luke and his team do a lot behind the scenes to make this a success and the first (public) step is the nomination for blogs in each of the categories and that’s where we need your help.

Right now nominations are open for a variety of blog categories include Best New Personal Finance Blog, Blog of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement Award. If you’d like to weigh in on your favorite personal finance blogs in each of the categories, you can cast your nominations here [6]. Nominations go until September 30th.

If you’re curious about the origin of the name, it’s the Romanized version of Ploutos, the Greek god of wealth.
