Now it looks like owe twice the amount than I do. It also matters because your credit card companies can do "AR" reviews to your credit report at anytime, if they don't like what they see they can jack your rates... As one who was affected (my score plunged by 133 points), I think there is plenty to worry about. Sure, Sallie Mae has fixed the problem, but their 'fix' is now causing my loans to be double-reported on my credit report so that it looks like I have double the debt with them. Now they're supposed to be 'fixing' this latest problem, so I can't wait to see what they do to my credit report next.
