you know er.. I actually signed up on like mid-Nov for (another account) for the $50 bonus (it was still working, at least the page was).
it emailed me and told me the promotional code has been accepted.. so that encouraged me a bit and I made one trade. then I got another email telling me I fulfill the bonus and it’ll be deposit in my account eventually.
I bought $42 worth of WFMI, so far I’ve gained $2.17 from it. lol. I didn’t realize they take the commission from the total amount, thats why it’s $42 (instead of $46)
I duno, dollar cost averaging isnt for me. owning 0.2896 of a share just doesnt seem that exciting. heh. now that I think about it, I should have just put money into some small cost high growth individual stock since the point is to leave it there and forget about it.

I have been successful with promotional code ENTERTAIN50 for an Individual Account but would like to know if one exists for RoTH or Traditional IRA’s?
I had the same problem that AJ had, I also reached the promotion page by going to Accounts->Promotions. So I deleted my cookies and I still could not get any of the promotions to work. I just want to double check and make sure they all work on exesting account, and to see if anyone knows what I am doing wrong?

Are you guys selected a regular individual account? I just did it, for the third time, through the above link using GIFT50 as my code and it told me my code was accepted.

Thanks Jim i figured it out! I did not know that you had to open a new account for each promotion, i didn’t thouroughly read your original posting sorry. I just checked the box that asked if you have an exesiting account and then i did not have to re-enter all of my info, but like you said you have to clear the cookies before each new code. I have a total of 16 links and promotion codes that i found to be working for a total of $510 and a $50 gift card to Barnes and Nobles these 16 codes include 6 of the codes listed above. Chuck, unfortunately there’s no way to do it online, you’ll have to call them up and ask them to manually combine all of them.

The only one I didn’t get a confirmation for the code working yet was “GIFT50″…I have received 6 e-mails that accounts were set up and 5 e-mails saying codes have worked and alow 4-6 weeks for your ‘reward’ after the first transaction…
So that $175 [4 working accounts] and a $50 Gift Card [other gift card account]…Lets see if it works…I don’t plan on funding the 6th account that didn’t get a ‘reward’…
I plan on buying the same stock in each account which will hopefully make it easy when I call and try to get these accounts into one…$10 into each of the 5 accounts, buy the stocks on the same Tuesday an basically have $30 in the market and then when the rewards start coming in, I will again buy the same stock and have $46 from each account…

What do you know about reverse merger arbitrage opportunities and/or how to find them?
Chuck – I know how they work but basically how you find them is to look at SEC filings and there’s a form a company must fill out in order to do a reverse merger, I forget the number though. It was tough going… I know George at fatpitchfinancials.com does this.

I went ahead and set the new account to withdrawl 50 from my joint account. And it seemed to work — after all all the accounts are withdrawn from a wells fargo account — should work.

SHARE25 worked for me yesterday, giving me a $25 bonus in 4-6 weeks. Also I found another offer at http://www.williamverdult.com/WebX?13@@.3d191247 where you get a lithograph of a decent artist and $30. The code is stocks30art, but apparently can only be used through that site. Do you know if that print, valued at $500, would be taxed? If so, then the deal pretty much stinks unless you really love this guy’s work.

After seeing Rich’s post, it seems like you can’t have more than one account open, or can you? And Rich, if you’re there, what do you mean the accounts were “suspended”? Do you no longer have access to the money you put in them? Will they refund your money?

They said it is against sharebuilder policy to have more than one account open per person.. They were friendly about it and just cancelled the sales of the stock i purchased and returned me my money and I didnt get any bonuses. The people that are getting away with this scam are getting lucky. Simply call sharebuilder and ask if it is ok… they will tell you its not… this is a loophole ONLINE and some people get caught and some dont
When I sign up for Sharebuilder.com two months ago using GIFT50 promo code, I was denied the bonus and decided to call in to see what is going on. The representative told me that I need to submit the actual certificate in order to receive the credit. I also ask the representative about multiple accounts and he said, “you can open as many accounts as you desired.” The bottom line is that you are allow to have multiple accounts (I have three existing), but I am not certain if you will get all the bonus credits posted on this blog. I am able to confirm that I got $55 Costco Bonus and $50 for using HH50LOGIN.
HH50LOGIN was acccepted. Of course I’ll have to wait until 4 weeks after my firs trade to receive it.

I have already signed the transfer papers to get all of these smaller accounts into my large sharebuilder account…I plan on buying another ETF fund with the 4th bonus that I already hold in my main account so when I transfer the 4-accounts into one, they will hopefully be added into my other amounts seemlessly and I am not stuck with some random ETF fund…
I plan on doing a few more when all of the accounts go into one and I can start all over…

Gift promos like GIFT50, GIFT40 do not work because as the ShareBuilder rep. explained to me this morning some sort of paperwork/coupon must be sent in with it after the account is set-up.

I just received my $70 COSTCO gift certificate thanks to this promotion. See my last post dated December 7 to learn more about this promotion.
From my experience (4 promotions so far) you can participate in a Sharebuilder promotion every 5 to 6 weeks. That’s the amount of time it takes to apply, get funds transfers approved, transfer funds, invest in a one-time investment, have it purchased, have the promotion clock start, then receive an email telling you the promotion money has been deposited (or mailed).

Most of the codes worked when I tried them, got the confirmation email, then they restricted all my accounts when I tried to deposit funds, canceled all the deposits.

I tried opening separate accounts with different login names they just rolled them all into my main account and limited them.
These Promo codes are useless unless you use just one when you first open an account if you already opened one they are all useless.
I read on here some ppl using fake SSN# and fake names and stuff.

I think you just need to do it if you got a big family but it’s only me in my family and I opened an account and found this page a few days after.
Anyway I don’t know what it used to be like but they surely do not allow more than one account and I am not going to lie about my SSN# because how do you think your gonna get that stock out you bought with a fake SSN#?
I only tried these codes because I thought they were legit but beware I think people abusing it made them change everything
So now its only if you have never opened a sharebuilder account
What you could maybe try though is opening up a account getting the first 50 then after you get it close that account and open up a new one and so on to see if that works. that would be like deposit 5 dollars – 4 dollars for first trade= 1 dollar plus 50=51 dollars withdraw close account and start over.
That might work but if you have already built up a large account that wouldn’t be practical IMO
I used the tvsb50 today 6.19.2007 and it worked. i am not doing any thing fraudulent. i actually was in my sharebuilder account and was logged in when i saw this thing that said promo code so i led me to open a new account. i went to college and typed in sharebuilder promo code an this site came up i got the code and it already ha d all of my infor so i didnt use separate user name or anything. it simply said you will get the fifty once you fund the account with 50

how stupid. if you spent as much time actually thinking about smart investing as you do trying to game to system for nickels and dimes, you might actually earn a return as an investor. scrapping little tricks like this is a losers game, but i guess its easier than dumpster diving or picking up returnable cans along the highway. rise above it, don’t be a loser.
I wanted to tell you my story of signing up for sharebuilder. I had a hard time finding where to put the damn promo code so I emailed customer service. After I told them what code I needed to use they gave me this response.
“I have added this promotion code to yoru account for you. If you need further assistance, please reply to this email. You also have the option to call or email Customer Care by clicking Contact Us at the bottom of the ShareBuilder home page”

Just call them up customer service and tell them you got a promotion for an existing account. If they give you a hard time tell them you will close your account.
I’m still waiting for my $50 to drop. I had to start an automatic savings plan and they give it to me after the first one goes through. After it goes through I will sell it take my money out and then wait a a month or two and do it again.

Something I found out a couple months back with Sharebuilder is that you can use these promo codes and also get frequent flyer miles. Just find a link offering free frequent flyer miles after your first trade (just do a Google search) and then enter one of the codes above. I thought they would probably only honor one of the two promotions but they actually did both! Airlines with current promotions are:

I got it to work. Opened a second account with another promotion code after the money came into my other account from the first promotion. Using the $50 from the first promo to fund the second free $50, and will continue to do so as long as possible. It’s really simple to sign up when you already have an account as well, just sign in and it auto-populates all your info. Thanks for the promo codes.
I used Share50 with no problems last week, and have received a confirmation email saying $50 will be credited to my account after my first transaction. So it seems (per usual) that I have the buying thing down. But does anyone have experience selling after opening multiple accounts and getting promo money? If I open a new account, and get a new promo code and another $50, and buy the same ETF as I did in my first account, is it going to cost me $31.90 to sell both ETFs, or $15.95? No codes work I have four acounts with them and have had them for years. It just give message saying can be used on open accounts go to promo page to enter. I gave up .
