Small Business Saturday 2012

American Express did it last year and they’re bringing it back this year — Small Business Saturday. On November 24th, 2012, spend $25 at a small business and get a $25 statement credit on your American Express card. This year, it’ll be on any American Express card and you can use multiple cards to get the statement credit multiple times. I think they make this push because a lot of smaller merchants don’t like American Express because of their higher fees but also just for good PR. Their pain is your gain.

As was the case last year, you’ll need to register your card(s) but the statement credit appears pretty quick and it’s a great way to save $25 at a local business. Enrollment begins November 18th, so you have a few days, and it’s limited so be sure to get to their site that day to get in on the deal.

Last year, I took advantage of this deal and ate like a king at a local Pho place. :)

I love Small Business Saturday, I took advantage of it last year to try out a new restaurant I have passed by on multiple occasions.

I didn’t participate last time (didn’t know about it), but I plan to advantage of this great deal this year. I get to support a small business and get $25 for the effort. A win/win in my book.
