Stop Unsolicited Junk Mail Credit & Loan Offers

Want to stop getting those direct mail offers of pre-approved credit cards? Register at OptOutPrescreen.com [3], a service of the major credit reporting agencies. Through the website you can opt out for five years, permanently, or opt yourself back in (if you previously request you didn’t want to receive any offers).

Given the recent practice of credit agencies forwarding your mortgage loan requests along to a select group of paying mortgage company customers (read about this practice [4]), this might be a way to prevent those unwanted solicitations from arriving.
