Like you, I love money quizzes. And, again, like you I answered #2 as "open three cards" and it told me that I was wrong. But unlike you, I said to myself, "What the F?" and closed the window. I'm not a fan of Suze to begin with.

Good catch on Suze's mistake. One problem with "advisors" like her is that they cover too many topics to research on their own so are often just reading cue cards containing other people's research.

A couple interesting points to add:

1. She's not entirely wrong about opening 3 credit cards not affecting your score. If you have "A" tier credit and the cards you opened had a net affect of less than 5% on your available credit limit it wouldn't impact your score at all, even if it were 50 cards.

2. Many states have limits as to when they report write offs to the credit bureaus. Most states use $100, the same limit they use on other judgements and deficiencies. Many places there is no such thing as a $100 parking ticket (moving violation maybe)...so in fact in most states it would be highly unlikely that the state would report this at all.

love the site,
