FNBO Direct: Online BillPay Account $25 Promotion

FNBO Direct is a new high yield online savings account that offers a competitive 3.50% APY interest rate and they have a new $25 promotion when you open an FNBO Online BillPay account.

First, you’ll need a FNBO Direct Online Savings Account (review of FNBO Direct), then you need to visit the BillPay $25 promotion page to apply. The $25 promotion is part of their Pay Yourself First contest.

Limited Time Bonus Offer: If you are a current FNBO Direct Online Savings Account customer, you can earn a $25.00 bonus for opening a new FNBO Direct BillPay Account. We will credit the bonus to your BillPay Account within 30 days after it is opened. In order to earn the bonus, your BillPay Account must remain open for 90 days and you must make at least one BillPay payment during that period (we reserve the right to deduct the amount of an unearned bonus from any account you have with us). This offer is only applicable to BillPay accounts opened on or after 08/06/08 and is limited to one bonus per household. This promotion is set to end on 09/30/08, however, we may change or discontinue this offer at any time. The FNBO Direct BillPay Account pays an annual percentage yield of 2.50%. The APY is accurate as of 08/06/08 and is subject to change. Fees may reduce earnings.

$25 Southwest-Visa Gift Card Promotion

Southwest Airlines JetUntil June 30th, get $25 off a future $100+ Southwest Airlines round-trip flight when you purchase a $100+ Southwest gift card from Southwest.com using a US-issued Visa card. The Southwest gift card has no fees and no expiration date, so you can buy it now and use it whenever.

The $25 credit will be emailed to you and will likely be in the form of a credit voucher (I ordered a gift card but the credit doesn’t come for 4 weeks, but I’ve had credits before from canceled flights). Thankfully Southwest’s credit vouchers are like cash, have no expiration date, and are usable on all flights but subject to these restrictions (including blackout dates and an expiration date); so there’s no little risk of being screwed in the future (Thanks Ceo Reom!). I know a lot of other airlines’ vouchers are much harder to use, they’re specially coded and you can only use it on the worst possible seat of the worst possible flight.

$25 off $100 is a pretty good deal, that’s like being able to check in a bag at one of the other airlines! (have we upgraded from “nickel and diming” to “five and fiftying” yet?)

The fine print after the jump:

$25 ING Direct Signup Promotion Bonus

$25 ING Direct New Account Promotion Self-ServeUpdated Oct. 14th, 2008.
Welcome to the self-service $25 ING Direct signup promotion center at Blueprint for Financial Prosperity. I’ve written on numerous occasions about how ING Direct will give you a $25 bonus for opening either a checking or savings account through a referral and depositing $250, so I’ve set up this page to allow readers to help themselves to the referrals (I get $10 for each referral). In the past I asked for you to contact me, then I emailed out the referrals… no more, this is far easier!

Below, you will see a series of links to ING Direct and each one is an account referral link good for one $25 bonus per new customer only. Each link will only work for one new account so if you click the link and it says “We’re sorry, but the referral link within the email you received has expired and is no longer valid. We recommend that you contact the sender and ask them to re-send the referral email. Or click ‘Continue’ to proceed with the application process without the account opening bonus.” then please move onto the next one. As links are used, I’ll clean up the page such that only the good links are left.

If you use an expired link, you will not get the bonus.

Lastly, if you do not deposit $250, you won’t get the bonus. If you still want an account, please use this link.

$25 RevolutionMoneyExchange Promotion

This promotion has ended.

I know that you all are fans of some free money so this little offer is right up your alley. RevolutionMoneyExchange is a PayPal-like clone, offering online money transfer services but with no fees. They have been around for about a year, running a payment network called Revolution Money that included a debit-like card, but only recently jumped into the person-to-person money transfer business.

The current promotion they’re running is a bonus of $25 if you open an account by May 15th, then you can start referring people (as I am doing so now) and you earn $10 for each person you refer. The only rub I have with RevolutionMoneyExchange is that they require a social security number and they may even deny you an account based on that (though it doesn’t appear they run any credit checks, so I’m not sure what they’re checking and why the need to social), but if you’re cool with that (I was) then the $25 is almost as good as yours.

Signup takes about five minutes. Don’t say I never gave you anything. :)

Promotion: Try Citi IdentityMonitor Trial, Get $25 Cash Back

I was reviewing my Citi credit cards this morning when I saw this banner offer: Get a $25 cash back certificate just for signing up for a thirty day trial of their IdentityMonitor product. What does the offer include?

  • 3-in-1 Credit Report—Access to your 3-in-1-credit report, 3 credit scores, monitoring and analysis at no additional cost
  • Credit Monitoring—Keeps track of your credit file activity every business day
  • Notify Express SM—Alerts that can warn you of potential fraud
  • Toll-free access to Fraud and Credit Education Specialists—They’re available to assist you with your concerns
  • Credit Analyzer and Online Tools—Credit tips and tools to help you understand your credit rating

If you just want a copy of your credit report, I’d recommend avoiding this song and dance and going to AnnualCreditReport.com, where you can request a copy of your report for free once a year as mandated by federal law. You don’t have to cancel any memberships to any programs by going that route (but the bureaus will try to upsell you on their products as you request your report).

If you really want identity monitoring services like this, I’d skip this $12.95 service and go with one that offers you a little more hands on service if you ever do have your identity stolen and some insurance as well. I’m not advocating identity theft insurance, read my thoughts and the opinions of others on identity theft insurance, but there are better options out there than this offer. IdentityMonitor seems to only alert you of when a theft may occur, doesn’t seem to do much afterwards (I don’t have the service so I don’t know, but none of the bullet points mention it).

The only thing that would concern me about this promotional offer is that there’s no mention of the $25 outside of the graphic on the left of the landing page (nothing in the IdentityMonitor terms and conditions, no mention on the sign up page), so if you do this or have done this offer, please let us know if there are any hiccups we should be aware of.

(Also, if the above link doesn’t work, please let me know… I reached it through a link in my account so it might not be public)
