I'm with Jeff on this one. I have a small leather wallet that only contains 7 cards (personal credit card, debit/ATM card, business credit card, driver's license, insurance card, gas rewards card, and grocery store rewards card). I also carry a money clip for cash. Both are very slim and easily fit into my front pocket. It is much more comfortable and convenient than carrying around a large wallet.

I recently purchased viewslimmy from http://www.koyono.com/. It's a nice small wallet. My only complaint is koyono took 8 business days to fulfill an order I paid to have quickly shipped to me.

I carry a very small metal wallet (almost looks like a cigarette holder). That way I only have room for the bare essentials. License, credit card, 4 business cards, and medical/dental insurance cards. That way I never end up with a bundle of receipts and paper in my wallet.

I wrote about that a while back but that's a great tip too. I think you can get away with just writing down phone numbers and last 4 digits on your cards, or writing it down in a code that hides it (like adding one to each digit or something).

Another tip I just read (can't remember which finance blog, eek) is to xerox the contents of your wallet (and then safeguard those pages!) once you've pared down its contents. That way, should you ever lose your wallet, you'll at least know what to cancel and replace.
