Thanks For Commenting

This is a new thing I’m going to be doing every month, I’ll be saying thanks (and linking) to the top 10 commenters of the last thirty days. It’s just a little way, and really one of the only ways, for us bloggers to thank the folks who respond when we preach into the vast expanses of the internets.
In the shortened month of February, Tim led the way with 17 comments, whereas eROCK held up the back end with five posts. If you had six comments in the last 30 days, you would’ve made this list and scored yourself a free link! Now, I don’t know what I’ll be doing each month for the folks who lead the pack and didn’t enter in a blog but this week Tim has a choice between getting a free copy of The Single Best Investment by Lowell Miller or The Big Money by Frederick Kobrick, shoot me an email Tim!
February’s Top Commenters
- Tim (17)
- Foobarista (11)
- Blaine Moore (First Time Home Owner) (10)
- Lazy Man and Money (8)
- mapgirl (8)
- Clever Dude (7)
- Matt (7)
- The Digerati Life (6)
- My Financial Journey (6)
- eROCK (5)

I had less than five????
Wow, you must have cut back on posts I disagreed with in February.
Thanks for the plug!
Thanks Jim! I didn’t even know you were counting.
Had I known, I would have spammed your site with blatant self-promotions of my site
Perhaps I’ll do that this month…
I DEMAND A RECOUNT!@%&
I swore I had 6. Is this blog located in Florida?
I need to speak up around here more often.
Woohoo! I just scored another comment for March!!
I’m commenting on a post about commenting. Has it come to this?
Don’t worry, if i see someone consistently posting “me too” or otherwise meaningless posts to get their count up I’ll just stricken them from the list.
Interesting idea Jim. I love your site by the way.
I have to remember to bug you via comment then, instead of by email or IM. *wink*
YAY! I managed to make it in, phew!
Great idea for generating discussion!
Thanks for the pitch, even if I do sometimes need to read more carefully before commenting…
Thanks for the recognition and cool idea. Hopefully you don’t get a slew of meaningless comments like this comment on a post about comments. Maybe you could try a plugin like Comment Karma where the comments can be rated.
BTW I would have had about 20 more comments but I’m bad at math ;P
