We were eating out 3 or 4 times a week, $7.00 lunches with water. It's still half the price to eat at home.

No vegetarian recipes? No thank you. Granted, I haven't read it, and the amazon.com preview pages don't offer much, but virtually all cookbooks don't have more than a handful of (non disert and drink) recipes without meat in them. Even the salads usually have chicken or other meat.

This isn't a jab at this book directly, I haven't read it and don't know that this is as bad as most, but statistically it is.

I agree, sounds like the substitution ideas would pay for the book itself. I can't remember how many times we've bought something to make one recipe and ended up throwing a ton of the ingredient out.

That looks like a great book! It would definitely be helpful for the substitutions, so that I wouldn't be stuck with pricey ingredients that I would only use once.
