For those of you interested in getting an MBA or in the process of getting an MBA, like me, then this ChangeThis manifesto ^[3] is right up your alley. ChangeThis, originally conceived by Seth Godin and put into play by a team of very talented individuals, is about changing the way ideas are spread using “manifestos.”

I have read a handful of them (and I mean to read more) and they’re very good. This manifesto is thirty-three pages long and list forty-two books and periodicals designed to push forth some of the ideas taught in a traditional MBA. The author doesn’t claim to replace a traditional education but this is a good start. Personally, I believe that a classroom education for an MBA is an imperfect educational tool. In business, nothing replaces experience. This opening quote in the document, from Good Will Hunting ^[4], personifies what Josh Kaufman’s trying to accomplish with his manifesto:

“You wasted $150,000 on an education you coulda got for a buck fifty in late charges at the public library.” – Will Hunting (played by Matt Damon), Good Will Hunting ^[4]
