I have read this book many times and agree with all your observations. The fact that it was written around 80 years ago is testament to the sound advice it imparts.

I was so inspired by it that I have dedicated 5 years of my life to abiding by Clason's principles. After a year of 'starting thy purse to fattening' and 'controlling thy expenditures' I am much better off financially and have a sound foundation to continue 'Making thy gold multiply'.

I have documented my progress in my online journal (www.therichestmaninatherstone.co.uk).

P.S. In my copy, the richest man in Babylon was called Arkad, not Akbar.

I agree on Richest Man in Babylon. It may not be historically accurate, but it is a great blueprint for financial prosperity. I have a copy that I read whenever I need a "back to the basics" refresher lesson on how to manage my money.
