Travelers May Offer Discount

I received an anonymous email from a reader a few days ago after I wrote about how Geico doesn’t offer a multi-insurance policy discounts:

Because insurance is state-regulated and therefore extremely complicated, I can’t provide you with a definite answer for your individual case. However, I am confident that Travelers does in fact offer a multi-discount policy that does include Geico auto policies. My advice would be that if Geico will not give you a discount, speak to Travelers directly.

It is very possible that Traveler’s is giving me a discount because I’m with Geico but that Geico isn’t giving me an auto insurance discount because I’m with Traveler’s. I’ll have to give the fine folks at Traveler’s a call to get to the bottom of this.

To that point, I have both. I get a discount on my Traveler’s home insurance, but I do not get a discount on my Geico auto. I specifically asked the agent when I recently added the home insurance and that is the way it works….in GA at least.
