This advice is spot on. I used to get my hair cut regularly, now I go maybe twice a year. It happened gradually, mostly because of time constraints, but I really don't miss it. Ditto for manicures and pedicures, which I used to get regularly, cut back on, and now don't get at all. (Of course, I've replaced the expense with kids . . .)

Dining out is one area my wife and I have been able to trim back on. We go out to eat about every two weeks. Not only does that have the $$$ benefits, but also the health benefits of eating better (which is easier done at home).
