It's amazing what a little polite righteous indignation can accomplish. Squeak loudly and with intelligence, and they JUMP to oil it.

I am currently in the process of switching all my services. I currently use Time Warner but after reading about a Verizon deal on Moolanomy (where you get a free 19" flatscreen) I'm about to pull the trigger on moving to Verizon for cable, internet and phone. By doing so it will save me about $115 a month, but I've heard a few negative things, like you wrote, about Verizon. I still think the cost savings are worth making the move, but I hope the transition is a smooth one.

I haven't had any problems with Time Warner since I moved to Brooklyn (though I had a boatload of problems in Manhattan), but I think I may be one of the lucky few.

Consumer Report named Verizon the <a href="http://consumerist.com/347835/best-internet-tv-phone-service-providers" rel="nofollow">best Internet / TV / phone provider</a>. Comcast is one place from bottom.
