many card issuers also have secondary discount programs, too, and the card level also has separate programs. citicard has citi bonus program, which you get additional cash back to the base cash back. platinum, signature, and world cards also have additional benefits.

Hmmm. My advice is not to believe everything you read. I tried using a 50% coupon from Visa for train travel in Canada and VIA Rail would only give me their best discount (less than 30% off for my itinerary), not the promised amount on the coupon.

The company didn’t make it’s customers aware of any terms or conditions. Now I’ve very careful to ask and not to take any deal at face value.

With the heavy increase in gas costs, it only makes sense to take advantage of any rewards that are available as a consumer! Think about it, if you can save tons of money at the pump and get more gas at the same time, that is sure a huge advantage! It’s best to educate yourself on what is actually out there to buy!

I think this is something that the average consumer neglects to do far too often. In today’s hustle and bustle world, sometimes folks forget to stop and try to get a deal.

Quite often credit card rewards can double or triple if you say, consumers dine at selected restaurants or purchase products at various stores. Simply by taking the time to look where the cash back rewards are and changing a few shopping habits, consumers could save a heck of a lot more money and even earn more points towards free merchandise, travel and several other rewards.
